287bhss slide
I am thinking of buying the 287bhs and haven’t been in one yet. Can you access the bathroom with the slide closed?

Bathroom Access
Yes, you can access the bathroom. You have to use the forward door to access the master though. But there’s plenty of room to load the fridge, etc.

Thanks for the info. My TV is a 2016 f150 with max tow and a payload of 1900. I am well within my tow numbers if i buy this, however curious what you tow yours with and your thoughts. I also have experience driving big rigs, so not really worried.

Towing, payload & hitch weight
I tow with a GMC 2500HD, 6.0l, 4:10 gears, using an Equal-I-zer Whd rated @10000lb. My trailer weighs out at 7200lb. Remember your hitch weight is going to be about 720lb + so you’re down to 1200lb payload. The max towing for my 2500 is 21,100lb & I was at 15,100 (tv+Trailer).

Honestly, it seems like too much trailer for the truck. Having towed a 29' Surveyor weighing the same with an F150, the F250 was a refreshing towing experience. While the F150 may have the towing capacity and payload to handle the hitch weight (it will be about 200-250 more than listed) there's not much truck there to control the mass of the trailer. Being nearly 33', the trailer has a lot of side to catch potential passing semis and side winds. The other aspect is being able to control the trailer under harsh braking.
Having towed our trailer 4200 miles, the F150 never felt all that "planted" on the road. The EcoBoost had plenty of power; however, it was all other aspects that it was lacking.
I do t want to sound like a downer, but that's the reality of a big trailer and a half town truck.

I tow a 287 with a ‘17 Silverado 1500 5.3. The truck does fine but I would feel a lot safer in a 2500

Thanks for the info guys. The weights don’t bother its the length. After some thought I feel that a trailer pushing 33’ is just too long for my comfort with a light weight f150. Looking at the 248bhle instead now.

That 248BHLE is probably a safer bet. Whats the configuration of your F150? Crew cab?
5 1/2 or 6 1/2' bed?
If it's the Crewcab with 6 1/2' bed, that will be plenty of truck.
Mine was the 5 1/2' bed with the 145" wheelbase. The added 12" of wheelbase on the 6 1/2' bed will really help the truck control the trailer.
And, good for you for thinking about it ahead of time. Thoughtfulness for safety allows for fun trips.

Mine is only the short wheel base. However I added LT e-rated tires and might add a Hellwig rear sway bar too.

I would hold off on the swaybar until you get set up and weighed on a scale. Those E rated tires should help stiffen any rear wiggle. It's cool your truck has 1900 payload. My F150 had 1529 and that ran out real quick with 4 people, gear in the bed and the tongue weight. The 1900 should give you plenty of buffer.
