32BHDS Complaints

Well....fresh tank dropped out this weekend. Going to have to strap it up to get home. Seems like this should not happen on a 2016 trailer.

I love camping and love the camper layout but can't say I am impressed with the build quality. The A/C is also undersized. If you go warm places when it's 85 outside the thing won't maintain a 72 degree inside temperature. If it's 90 well let's just say it gets quite warm inside.

I have had other minor issues they fixed under warranty. Black tank flush hose kinked and would not work, tub drain leaking, awning screws fell out and awning wouldn't go in. Those were all under warranty but of course it's out of warranty now.

This sure makes me question Forest River quality.

Thought FW tank problems were limited to smaller TTs. You're probably aware of the many threads on various fixes. Good luck on the repairs.

I fixed the fresh tank support today. The tank is of course held up by two rails that go from one side of the frame to the other. The back rail was welded on the frame and looked good. The front rail was held up on one side by three self tapping screws and believe it or not on the other side by only two self tapping screws.

I drilled out all the screws and replaced them with 4 through bolts on each side. The rails were sturdy and the tank was held in well when the rail was fastened properly. I did add a couple of strips of nylon webbing from rail to rail just for added support.

Photo of broken rail fasteners and rail has fallen.

Nice work - and you saved the tank! It appears when you filled your tank it deformed and fell through the rails? If so the added straps will help prevent that from happening again, at least for the rest of the season!!

Yeah...I think it bowed a little but I don't think it fell because of it. I really think the screws just rusted and broke. I will check it when it I fill it. I thought about adding stronger cross supports but thought it was ok.
