Thanks for all the helped figure out some ways to use this. Actually, not too difficult once you get a lead on how it works. Actually a very nice quality accessory & am glad our Surveyor 251RKS came with. I have found that strapping bikes to the vertical posts first, then strapped to the front of the rack (part furthest from trailer) works the best to insure it wont bang against the trailer.

2016 FR Surveyor 251RKS. Mods (so far): 2nd battery.

I put 2 milk crates on mine secured with u bolts and carry 2 spare propane tanks. I use a chain and padlock to the upright support to make sure they don't walk away.
