Any problems with Surveyor roofs?

Anyone have information on water problems with the roofs of the Surveyor line? We're looking at the 2008 Surveyor SV 271... Just called a local dealership that sells Forest River but not specifically the Surveyor line. They said that they used to sell Surveyor; however, stopped due to an ongoing issue with leaky roofs. Basically, they said there were so many that they got tired of fixing them. I've looked many places to confirm this, but I haven't seen any complaints about leaking roofs. I asked the salesman that I was speaking with to get some specifics from the service department for me (he's new to the dealership). Please help so I don't make a mistake! Thanks.

Like any brand, you have to maintain the roof. I was doing the two time a year inspection and cleaning yesterday and found no problems. I have not had any roof leaks. i do see some caulking that I will have to replace next spring when I dewinterize. It has only been 2 years so far.

I always have a couple of tubes of lap sealant at the house and carry a tube while out camping. I'm up on the roof at least once every trip to look at the seals on the edges, around the ladder, and every other potential hole in the roof. I tend to use the lap sealant more while I'm camping then when I've got it parked at the house. I try to stay on top of things.
