Awning closing issue
Does anyone have any idea how to fix my awning. I close it all of the way and the end at the front of the trailer closes nicely, however, the end at the rear closes only partially. See picture. I can push it closed with my hand but it doesn't stay. I'm wondering if there is some way to sort of reset it so that both ends close all the way.

Need to open all the way and see how fabric lines up with position on camper. If it is not straight you can lube outer groove on round tube and flap awning canvas until lined up. When straight place small screws to hold. Camper side probably has screws

To center the awning, here's how I do it:
- fully extend the awning until it stops extending (which is slightly over extended)
- stand on a ladder at the end of one arm
- tightly grip the fabric that's hanging down
- shove the awning tube
It'll shift a little. Run the awning in and see how it is. Repeat as necessarily and switch sides, if needed.

My old trailer would slip out of position occasionally so when I got it straight I marked where it should be with a permanent marker. Easy to see if it moved before putting it back up.

Once you get it centered and it stows correctly, deploy it and rivet it in place at both ends of the roller.

Took the trailer to the dealer because the awning material was not sewn to the roller correctly. There was a difference of 1" over the length of the awning. Doesn't seem like much but no matter what you did, it wouldn't roll up correctly. The dealer ordered a new one......:-)

This works!!! BTW..use a rivet, not a screw. I only did mine at one end and it seems to work fine.

I see you found your issue but I thought I'd still mention for others that might not know that the awning arms shouldn't be retracted when the pitch setting is more than 3 positions different. I haven't tried but I assume it would cause some torque issues. Happy camping.

On my last SOB unit, the arms would auto-adjust when retracting no matter what position you had them in.
Our current awning has knobs that need to be loosened. Not all awnings are the same.

Awning closing issue
How do you get the awning material to slide on the tube? Mine won't budge.
