Bad tank Readings - Horst Miracle Probes the Answer?
Has anyone installed these and have a long time experience? Has anyone installed them in a Surveyor sv-294? Has anyone had problems with these probes? I read everything on line and they seem to be a solution to false tank readings.

If my math serves me corectly thats about $150.00 a tank? 4 sensors per tank I.E. Empty - 1/3 - 2/3- Full? I'm thinking no..... Have you ever thought about using a sensor cleaner a couple times a season, or don't throw TP in the tank, rather take out the trash every day? Personally I have a galley, a grey, and two black tanks. Oh yea I'm a full timer and I know how long it takes to fill each tank. A mod shouldn't cost $600 for led lights.. This is a no brainer... And, I rate this at one star....

I'm not sure where you are getting 150 a tank. A kit with probes for two grey and one black is $90. One grey and one black is $63. If you do a search you will see the Herk uses them. He seems to be happy with them.

I'd like to do this mod but the enclosed underbelly stops me from tackling it.

As Herk has posted on here prior, the Horst probe work much better than the factory sensors.
For myself, I don't fret much about the indicated level...we've had our camper long enough to know the tank capacities in terms of days. We seldom ever camp with full hook-ups and visit the dump station on the way out. We have a 25 gal tote now to use if needed.

That makes 2 of us. I'd like to add these sensors and a black tank flush for our 2nd black tank, but that damned enclosed underbelly stops me. I'm going to have to have another project or two before I take it down!

I love mine. The belly came off real easy (just don't pick a windy day).
Entire job took about 3 hours (which included dropping and installing the Coroplast belly cover in a gusty wind). I just did the gray and black tanks since I never had a fresh tank indicator problem not related to out of level.
You will need a #2 square drive bit to make the job of removing the belly screws easy, but a large Phillips "will work."
