My bikes mounted much like others shown. The Surveyor bike rack is not attached to the bumper and is attached with 4x4 steel tubes directly to the frame. Hence the 300 lb weight rating.

My rack is not built with the mesh like those shown. Mine has 4 angle iron channels that fit the bike tires.

A word of caution. I had bungee'd mine to the uprights and my wife was following behind. She flagged me down after one major bump and said that the biked had raised at least a foot off the rack. Make sure you strap them to the bottom of the rack as well as the uprights. Maybe common sense for most, but I messed up.

I do love having the rack!

Vinmaker, Surveyor bumpers are part of the trailer frame and not bolt on additions, hence the 300 lb rating on the fold down rack.
