Can I turn A/C fan only on?

Brand new to Forum but have an "urgent" question. Introductions later! I just bought a 19 foot 2009 Surveyor Sport. I have it parked in my driveway & plugged in to a garage outlet 15 amp, 120 volts. I know I shouldn't turn the A/C on (needs 20 amps?) but could I run the A/C, fan only,to get some of the hot air out? Don't want to take a chance but surely just the fan without cooling doesn't draw more than 15 amp?

Depending on what else (in the home) is on that 15 amp service, running only the fan shouldn't be a problem. The AC compressor is the power hog. But like I said, if the circuit your plugging into has other things running, you may have a problem.

Don't you have a fantastic fan in the ba bathroom?

A/c fan doesn't draw from outside.
It will just move it a little .
If you have a fantastic fan open vent and a window at the rear to get some cross flow.

It also doesn't exhaust to the outside. Best way is to open the ceiling vents and set a box fan on 2 chairs with the fan pointed at the vent and turn on low. If nothing else, get a regular fan and set it on a counter, etc and point it toward an open vent. I would also open some windows a little.

Run the fan, it won't hurt a thing. Moving some air, especially near ceilig level will help. I was in my trailer tonight doing some repairs and did the same thing you are asking. Within 10 minutes the temp was tolerable.

Thanks for the info, will likely give it a try. Problem 2 has arisen but will start a new thread regarding pnuematic struts under bed
