Going camping in PA this weekend can we hook up to city water for cooking, showering and dishwashing. We will be using the hot water heater but i don't want to clean the holding tank of antifreeze we still might have some freezing temps yet. What has to be done with the water filter to be placed into service.

If you hook up to city water for the things you mentioned flush good before using - but then your rig will not be winterized. What did you mean when you said holding tank of antifreeze - normally fresh water tanks are drained & no antifreeze put in them. Water filter will need a new filter element installed which should be removed before adding antifreeze to the system.

What empty said.
normally no one installs antifreeze in fw tank.
uses more antifreeze than needed
have to sanitize fw tank also then
If u do as your saying you won't be able to sanitize water lines.

Id install a winterizing kit for next year most units only require 3 gallons to fully winterize.

I quess i'm still in pop-up mode since you would use 2 gallons of antifreeze and let it pump thru the system.
