Dometic 2652 - Am I missing a shelf?

Just got a new Surveyor SV264. Looked at the refrig in the inspection...it worked.
Now we had a 2652 in our last trailer but can't seem to remember. (wife only opens refrig to get her milk out, so she's not much help). Anyways, this refrig has the 2 bins on the bottom with a shelf just above them covered by a thin white plastic. Next up is a deep shelf with the hole cut out for the milk jug. Above that is the skinny wire shelf by the fins. Should there be one more shelf? I looked in the manual but in parts section it only mentions "door shelves". Would someone please look at theirs and tell me if I dreaming or I'm missing a shelf.
Thanks....
Bob

I picked up our trailer yesterday and this is how ours was. I thought the same thing, that maybe there should be 1 more rack. I can't remember what was in our old trailer either.

Hey Bob. Thats the same set up we have in our new trailer. My old Laredo had an extra one as well. Guess they are cutting costs by leaving the 3rd full shelf out.

Sorry, Ive got this in two places. Didn't see it after I posted the first time.

The parts list shows a third shelf. I'm going to call in the A.M.

The fridge in the picture is missing a shelf, compared to our DM 2652.

Called Dometic and was told that the shelf is not part of "our" refrigerator. It can be ordered along with the plugs and shelf support for about $53. plus $25 shipping. They said to try one of your local dealers to save on shipping. OUCH!

I would contact your dealer and let him know the fridge is missing a shelf. I thought all DM 2652s were the same. Don't know why your fridge should be different. Let us know what you find out.

Good evening all. I'm sorry to say, but the new Dometic DM2652 no longer comes with the large shelf below the one with the cutout (Welcome to eDometic this website in your web browser and you'll get the diagram of the DM2652. When we got our new Rockwood 2608WS in January, I looked in the refrigerator and immediately I said there is a shelf missing. I called Dometic parts department and told them I was missing a shelf and they sent me the one that goes on top of the two bins FREE. That wasn't the shelf I was missing or wanted so I called them back and the parts person had me go to their website and the two of us looked at the diagram of the DM2652 together. Sure enough, the shelf I was wanting wasn't in the diagram any longer. I didn't give up though....I went to the diagram of the next larger refrigerator (DM2852) and, bingo, there was the shelf I wanted (Welcome to eDometic 213 (1 ea shelf, part #9108709156), 226 (2 ea plug, part #9108708375), 227 (2 ea clip, part #9108708374), & 228 (2-ea plug, part #9108708376). So I called the parts department back and told them the shelf I wanted was in the DM2852 refrigerator so I ordered it plus the four plugs and two clips. I paid $72.82 minus shipping, but it's what I wanted. Hope this information is helpful.

This was our fourth Dometic DM2652 and the other three refrigerators came with this shelf.

I emailed Dometic to voice my displeasure about the missing rack. This was their response "The shelf configurations are mostly determined by customer request and input."
Who would request less racks in their fridge.

The photo here shows the extra shelf: Products - Dometic

There is no disclaimer that the photo is shown "with optional accessories". If the shelf is not included, then that is false advertising. See if you can use that angle.

I think they are just finding ways to save money. Kind of like when we used to buy a half gallon of ice cream. Now we pay the same or more for 1.75 qts.
Another missing item is the humidy control button.
$70 a shelf,per unit....quite a bit of savings for Dometic!
