I took mine apart and put a fiber or nylon washer between the cam and the back of the cup holder.
It works much better.

Might try this as the way it is now it has no suction at all. Might also just use rubber bands to hold it to the rear view mirror as was suggested. What I did on the way home yesterday was place it on the steering column, which worked as a temporary solution.

Had (have?) the same issue with ours. Here's what works for us:

1. Position suction cup lock lever to the "unlock" position.

2. Position display without allowing the suction cup to touch windshield or wherever you want to mount.

3. Press the suction cup to the attach point by pushing on the center "stem".

4. While holding pressure on the "stem" move the lever to the "lock" position.

Will hold for weeks for us doing it this way even though the locking lever doesn't have the "normal" tensioned feel.

I had trouble with my mounting bracket as well. I contacted Furrion and they sent me a new one free of charge. So far all is well.
