Forest River parts....can you order them?

I'm wondering if Forest River parts and accessories can be ordered directly from the factory. My 2010 Surveyor 186 Sport came without the gold, hard plastic spare tire cover which matches the fender skirts and propane tank cover. Instead, mine came with a standard white soft cover. My dealer said this model no longer comes with the hard plastic tire cover, even though his website depicts this same unit with the hard cover in place. He's charging me $90 for the Surveyor hard cover, which I think looks much better than the generic soft cover. I need to know if I could save money by eliminating the middle man.

I called them once to try order parts and they didn't want to talk to me. Wanted me to order my parts from my dealer. But others have successfully bought parts from them directly.

Propane Tank Cover

My dealer emailed photos of my new 235RKS which was supposed to have the painted propane tank cover [brown/bronze]. I had specifically asked about this about a month ago and was told then that I would get the brown/bronze cover. However, the photos show a white tank cover while the spare tire has the brown/bronze cover. I complained and have gotten the "run around" so far. They are saying Forest River no longer offers the brown/bronze propane tank cover - the brochure shows the brown/bronze cover and the dealer said I would get this one about a month ago. Also, Forest Rivers parts department says it available. I'm pissed!!!!

I have ordered parts a few times from their diesel division parts department with no problem. They have been extremely nice and very accommodating.
