Hi from Venice Florida

Just bought a 2011 Surveyor 189 Sport eco-lite. First camping trip in 2 days. Just a short 3 day break-in at Lake Manatee State Park to see how everything works. Wish me luck..

Good luck and enjoy. Just got back from FL last week (not camping) and now we have 3 inches of snow on the ground. I envy you guys in FL in the winter (not summer though). Enjoy that camper and get up here to the NC mountains this summer and camp if you want to cool down a bit.

Lake Manatee State Park was a nice surprise. the sites were large, and well groomed. The higher number sites seen to be better. Not a whole lot to do unless your into biking, canoeing or hiking. This was just a shake down type trip to see what, and how well everything worked. Happy to say everything went great. We're going to go next month to Oscar Scherer State Park, and maybe up your way in April to Homossasa.

Glad everything went well we just took our new 19 ft puma to Oscar Scherer for its first shakedown. Site are a bit tight but nice and secluded. Hillsborough river state park is very fun just getting ready to pack up and leave from a 3 day weekend. Our next trip is highland hammock in Sebring.

Great to see some close Floridians. We have had our 06 235rs for about 3 months and have been a couple good places around. Our first trip was Myakka river sp, and we loved it Fyi though pick the loop with full hook-up sites far superior for other two loops.

We also stayed at the new loop at Myakka State Park. I beleive it was late April. The sites and facilities were outstanding. Looking to camp other State parks in north Florida in September
