Hidden fuse in Surveyor 220
Hi all,
Still love our Surveyor 220 but look what I found! While scounting a location for a better battery monitor gauge, I found this hidden 15amp fuse behind
this switch panel on the entry door side of the kitchen cabinet! I have no idea what this fuse protects or whether it is unique to just my trailer or other 220's built near the same time (my build date was 11-29-2012). It's not for the slide out as those fuses are clearly labeled in the fuse panel box. Nor was there enough slack in the wiring to pull this fuse out and leave it exposed next to the switch panel (until trade-in time when I would put it back behind the panel). So just be aware there might be a fuse behind your panel as well!
Happy camping!
Pete

Might be for your awning. Pull it and see what doesn't work then you'll know.

Thanks, Pete. Good to know it's back there. I believe the awning fuse is also in the regular fuse panel box, so not sure what this is for. Maybe someone will know for sure.

Wow. I did not see that behind mine. I drilled some holes to hold up the shelf and wanted to make sure I didn't hit anything. I'm with bubbles. Pull it and see what happens. (I double dog dare you ). I wonder if I have one hiding back there somewhere. It could be for the led awning lights.
We are still in love with ours as well. We have been about 15 times this year and are heading out again this weekend.

thanks all!
mjones12 & bubbles; I chickened out; I didn't pull the fuse to see what it was for!
tanddc; I am so jealous! Very happy for you that you are able to take the trailer out so much; here's a picture of our's all dressed up and ready to go. We might get to southern Arizona later this month but just don't know yet.
I did put one of those motion detector porch lights up in place of the stock one; I even found it in black so it fit's in very well. Good mod; a trifle pricey at $61 at our local rv dealer.
Have a great time!
Pete

So much for peer pressure . I really like that light. Who makes it and what is the model number? I might have to steal another one of your ideas . That really looks nice.

porch lite model no.
tanddc,
Hi, the porch light is a Star Lights product, their Smart Light 1000, available in white or black. Probably cheaper on Amazon too.
Take care!
Pete

If I'm looking at the pic right, the bottom blue wire from the fuse appears to go to the white wire connector, which has one (maybe two?) red wires coming out. I'm betting at least one of them goes to the back of one of the switches. Whichever switch it goes to is probably what it's for.

my guess is the fuse is for the water pump. It was on my Rockwood ETC181. Take fuse out and try to use pump.
