Hitch for 2014 Surveyor SV264

My parents are considering purchasing a 2014 Surveyor SV264 and pulling it with a long bed crew can F150 and an expedition. The F150 is long enough I am not concerned with wheel base to length of trailer. The expedition is thr only one I am concerned with. (I am a stickler with length and sway)

I pull a 26 ft shamrock hybrid with a tahoe and have the 4 pt s/wd and the sway on a windy day is still scary.

Is it worth the extra money for them to get the hensley or would they be ok with 4 pt?

My SIL pulls a 33' with a Tahoe and uses an Equalizer hitch without sway problems. That or a Reese dual-cam would be my choices. I have the 264 behind a 2500 and an Equalizer hitch and forget it's back there till I look in the mirror. But as you stated, the Expedition is a different story.

I pulled mine with an '01 Expedition with no problems... I only pulled it once but that was from Amarillo to Phoenix and back. The power was a bit lacking even with the 5.4 engine. My '11 F-150 with the 5.0 does much better.

I have pulled our SV305 with a 2006 Ram 2500 diesel and was never happy towing with the typical hitch. Continued having wandering issues and minor sway trouble. I went through many different techniques to make the trailer behave better with some success...

I recently purchased a used propride 3p hitch and I am incredibly happy with it! I have only made a couple of trips with it and I can't say enough good things about it! Sean with propride has helped me any time I emailed asking for it even though I purchased this second hand.

The propride or hensley really and truly does create a 5th wheel designed towing experience with a bumper pull... and my turning radius is incredible now. I can turn past 90* with my trailer...
