Jayco 24T vs Surveyor SV264

We are looking at these two trailers. Want something quality built. Is one better over the other? We have only been camping a couple of years and this would be our first new trailer. Are new to the forum and appreciate any comments.

Both brands have pretty good reputations. Floorplan is a key decision criteria. Your decision should also include the proximity of the dealer and the confidence that you have in them. And I suppose price too ultimately. If you are close to your tow limits, maybe go for the lighter one?

I'll go one step further... go for the one that has a more slanted front or rides lower (less trailer sticking up past your tow vehicle=more aerodynamic, think airstream). This is as important as the weight of the trailer... (IMHO)!

happy camping!

I believe that the Jayco has a 2 year warranty and roadside assistance. That seems valuable.

True, but you can also buy a 2nd year through Forest River for $150.

We looked at both makes and bought the SV264. Like the kitchen in the rear. DW likes the work space w/o having to walk across the room to get to the frig. It also has 2 doors and I can't tell how many times we've said: "I'm glad we didn't get the one with 1 door". Many times she's been working in the kitchen and I used the br door so as not to trip over each other.

Like the aerodynamics and the low profile. Loaded we're under 5,000 lbs and pulls easily through the mountains with the Yukon. Hope this helps.
