Question Location of water filter???

I just purchased a new 2017 Surveyor 245BHS and was wondering if it comes with a fresh water filter?I looked under the kitchen sink and under the bathroom sink and do not see one. I would have thought it would come with one. Would it be located somewhere else?

I went through the same thing recently. Sent a message to Forest River Customer Service (Western North America) and was very happy to have a quick response. I provided the model # and ID # of my unit and found out that there was no water filter. Had a few other questions and was very happy with the help I received. The dealership that the trailer was purchased from was not much help. They told me that there was no real way of knowing what came stock, and it depended on when and where the trailer was manufactured. You might want to send an inquiry direct to Forest River.

If you do have one, it is most likely very close to the pump discharge. Find the pump, you've probably found the filter.

The portable filters that hook into your portable water line work fine. I removed my stock water filter by the pump and now have it outside so that I filter all water coming into the trailer. Including when I fill my potable water tank

I also use a culligan in line filter for the fresh water feed to my unit and it works very well.
