Looking at a Surveyor 299RLOK

I have two questions I'm hoping someone can help me with-- I have been pulling a 30 ft. travel trailer and I wouldn't want a trailer any longer. However the surveyor is 35 ft 2 inches- will the over hang in the truck bed make up the difference in length ?

Also the dry pin weight of the surveyor is 1498-- There is only (2) of us and typically we run about 700- 800 lbs. in the trailer. What would be a reasonable pin weight when we are loaded ?
