Question Mattress in a new 2012 surveyor select

WE just bought a new 2012 surveyor SV301 that was supposed to have a Serta Dreamscape mattress but it has a Serta Alameda instead. From what I have read the dreamscape is 10" thick and the one we got is only about 7". Anybody know what is up with this? I will be calling the dealer we bought it from tomorrow A.M. Will post what I find out.

If your sales agreement includes the details on the mattress, make them change it. If not, you are probably out of luck, as I am sure the "fine print" allows them to make any changes they want without notice.

According to the sales brochure the Serta Dreamscape mattress is a mandatory option so I don't see how they could get around changing it out for something else.

It's worth a try. Just be aware that the brochure states on the last page that they reserve the right to change color, material, options and specs without notice. It's common in the industry. OTOH this can go in your favor as well sometimes. Sorry to hear about your change and I can see why you're not happy with it. Good luck.

There are dealer options too. If they want the sale, a dealer can swap just about anything out to close the deal. Just get it in writing.

My new SV-264 came with the Amameda. We had already ordered a 3" memory foam pad... just made it up yesterday for the first time. WOW!!

I think the term "Dreamscape" is a trade name for the Mattress collection and the Alameda is in that line, along with the Parma, Foam and the Bradley. If anyone has any information stating different please let me know.

We also have the Dreamscape in ours. We still ended up buying a 5" memory foam topper, and what a difference. It's wonderful and we don't ever want to get out of bed.

Agree... memory foam toppers are great for any mattress (TT or home)... well worth the money. Five inches should be REALLY great (ours is only 2")

Found out the Dreamscape is a line of mattress and the Alameda is in that line up. We put an Isotonic memory foam topper with a down like mattress pad and the bed sleeps great!, sleeps better than our $1500.00 Bamboo memory foam bed at home.
