Yes, the dimensions of the front storage openings are approximately 30.5" wide by 13.5" tall (about 94" inside length between doors). I found a bin at Lowes that makes a pretty good fit (you can get 4 of these across):
Centrex Plastics, LLC Commander 17-Gallon Tote with Hinged Lid
Some other measurements I got:
Dinette under seat storage - 17.5x10.5x31
Under bed storage (2x) - 31x21x17
Double sink - 10x12.5 (near bottom) and 10.75x13 (near top) and 5.5 deep
Double sink opening (counter) - 23.75x13.75
Tandem axel tire diameter - 26 tall x 57 wide
Those were all off a 2016 built in October 2015 at a local dealer in GA. I made them all pretty quick, so they are approximate, mostly erring on the smaller side to leave more room than expected.
I have learned a lot about the build process with Forest River and the Surveyor line over the last few months. As many have mentioned on this forum, Surveyor and R-pod share the same production line. It is generally one month for Surveyor, then one month for R-pod and so forth. However, sometimes production is extended on one line based on demand or other factors. From what I gathered speaking with an FR rep back in December, production recently switched to Surveyor near the very end of January. They typically start building orders based on size of units meaning they start with all the shorter/smaller Surveyor models, gradually working up to the longer/larger Surveyor models, and then back down to the shorter/smaller models. So the 285IKDS model is typically produced near the middle of the Surveyor cycle given it is a longer/larger unit. Based on recent dates, I believe this week (2/8-2/12) production is beginning on the 285IKDS models as mine is due for completion early next week. Then, around the end of February the factory will switch back to R-pod for a month and then back to Surveyor again around the end of March. So, if your experience is anything like mine, your unit should be built around the middle of April and probably ready at your dealer in the last couple weeks of April at the latest. It just so happens if you order right in the middle of an existing production, then you end up waiting about 8 weeks since it is one month on and one month off for Surveyor and r-pod. I ended up ordering on the very last day of production on the 285IKDS from the last cycle back in November 2015 and between Thanksgiving, Christmas, and some factory upgrades that took place, my unit is just now being built (3 months is not typical, but just the way it worked out). Hope this information is helpful.
