New 285IKDS

Hadn't yet put up a pic, but I took delivery of my new TT on 23 June. Had it hauled up to Anchorage from a dealership just outside of Portland, OR. It was home on 30 June. Getting ready to go on the 2nd trip. A few minor issues, but overall, I'm pleased. Click image for larger version

I measured mine. It matches what the forest river website says. 32'7".

Is that just the coach or full hitch to bumper?

Congratulations on your Surveyor. Wife and I bought the same model one month ago. One trip out and really satisfied with everything about this camper

I got 27'7" of the coach without bumper or hitch. I got 23"4 of inside walkable floor. Hope that helps![emoji1474]

Hey anyone with this RV there's a "secret " compartment in the bedroom under the "night stand" for whatever you want to hide. Found it last week. Just lift and there's a great compartment ....

Yep, I think all the newer Surveyors with the front queen bed have this configuration. It's a nice touch that shows how well thought out these trailers really are.

Yes. Neat little storage compartment. Found it shortly after buying our Surveyor.

New Arrival

Well, obviously another camping season is behind us, at least for this Alaskan. But I didn't get to camp this year anyway. My girl and I had a beautiful baby girl who didn't come without complications. At 23 weeks, end of May, momma was put on total bed rest. 4 weeks in the hospital, and 11 weeks of bed rest at home. But in early September, a healthy baby girl was born at 38 weeks, and momma made it through the ordeal like a champ. What this meant was that our summer was spent making sure baby stayed in the oven until she was nice and done. Incidentally, the Surveyor was never even de-winterized. I would say it sat at the storage lot all summer, but as I knew we wouldn't be using it, I had solar panels installed, to compliment the inverter I had installed last fall. So since we picked up the Surveyor in July '17, we've only camped in it maybe 4-5 times. An inspirational thought that helped me get through the summer was knowing that the next time we go camping, we'd be going with our daughter. This is our first child, and we cant wait to get her out to the woods. Next summer can't come fast enough!!!
