New Surveyor SP-280

1st post I've been lurking for a while. We ordered our SP-280 March 17th and we are picking it up this saturday. We will be towing with a Nissan Titan and an Anderson weight and anti-sway hitch. This is our first travel trailer. So what things should be looking for when we take delivery on saturday?

thanks in advance.

First thing is to print out and familiarize yourself with a PDI list. Also, get familiar with your hitch to make sure they set it up correctly. Andersen is new to the scene and they might not "get it". Speaking of...make sure to update us as to how well the hitch works for you.

Don't rush anything. Plan several hours and enjoy!

Welcome to the family. We also have a SP-280 pulled by a Titan. We've only had it out once so far, but it was a great trip and the Titan performed well.

Search this site for "PDI" and you'll get a list of things to look for during the walk through. Take your time during the PDI and especially take your time going home.

Have you towed a trailer of any kind before? If not, you'll want to look for towing tips on this site as well.

We just bought the SP 280 10th Anniversary edition. Just had it out once but love it. Traded in our 24ft Sportmen which was OK but no comparison. Few minor things to iron out but we know we are really going to enjoy this TT

We have been having a blast in ours! One minor thing so far, it devolved a squeak around the front door the second trip out. After some investigation I found out the a screw the holds the wood piece for the u shape table had came loose from the wall next to the door. I tightened it down and no more squeak!

Welcome to the forum. Keep in mind that almost all TT's will have some fault. Alot you can fix yourself, others will have to be taken back in for warranty repair. Get the 2nd year warranty (there's a form posted on this forum) in the fisrt 10 days of ownership for about $150. Don't get discouraged, ask any questions you don't have an answer to. Alot of information here.
