I am going to install a Sony Bravia Micro home theatre system in our trailer next summer. The amp is actually quite a bit smaller than the ZX700 that is currently there. My logic is: We have a 110v 32" LCD TV so why have a 12v entertainment system as we never listen to radio or any type of music. The TV is only used to watch DVDs as we are not fans of TV while camping (one of our rules of roughing it..NO TV) and here we have this nice Toshiba HD tv and are feeding it with composite signals. There are composite to HDMI upconverters out there and they are in the $200+ range so why not spend a bit more and get a nice 450 watt Sony system. I will keep using the built in speakers till I find something better that fits in the same spaces but probably use the Sony sub. Being how the unit is so small I can make a faceplate that can be removed to reinstall the ZX700 should I ever decide to sell the trailer and put it back to factory. The other thing is when we dry camp it is courtsey of our Honda EU3000is generator so we always have 115v with us anyway.
