Out Of Warranty

Any suggestions? Our new Surveyor 243rbs' shower drain is leaking and a bubble on the exterior of the trailer has been noticed about 10 days after the 90 day warranty has expired. The service dept said that it's out of warranty. Any suggestions on who to call or write at Forest River or am I out of luck and it's all going to be on my dime?

90 day? If it's new it should have at least a year. If it was a used unit, argue that the leak would have had to be going on before the 90 day mark, just could not be noticed. Never hurts to push back.

What 90 day warranty?
New trailers come with a 1 year factory warranty.
If you bought it used, there is no factory warranty.

I recall something about a 90 day preventative / routine maintenance regarding leaks. Goes with the 90 day sticker by the door.
This will be on your dime. Sorry.

Biggest question, did you get the leak stopped?

You need to talk to someone higher up at the dealer.

Call DreamChasers in Burlington or Canopy Country in Ellensburg to ask them about the "Out of Warranty". They are the other closest Surveyor dealers.

Like others have said, it is a completely fair point to argue that the cause the damage was happening long before the 90 day window was up.
