How to get them turned on or if the gas is even going to them. We have tried everything we could think of to turn them on.

Do you have the gas line hooked up from the stove to the trailer. There are quick connects at both ends and the gas line needs to be turned on and most likely have the air bled out or the line.

Our stove pulls out and then we have to run the hose to underneith the trailer to hook it up. I would have preferred an internal hookup as the way ours is set up we have to disconnect the gas every time we slide the stove back in and close up the outside kitchen door.

Ours is like that as well.I assume it is a safety feature,so you will not end up with a leak and possible explosion.
