Any pictures?.

No pictures but yes a very big door with decals. I had it shipped to the dealer and they ordered the decal and installed the door.
No problems at all. I will say that my dealer is top notch and has stood behind every problem there has been.

I can't help but wonder of the problem with the doors is due in part to the struts. They do the job fine, but a different strut mount farther away from the hinge would put less stress on the door and hinge.

Why couldn't they use a stainless steel piano hinge instead of that crappy aluminum arrangement? They could install a small aluminum gutter above the piano hinge. I had a door replacement done on my 2012 surveyor sport 295 and cringed every time I opened the door and heard it popping. We now have a 2014 surveyor select 305 that I assumed had surely had the problem rectified but is sounding to NOT be the case. Whiles dealer took care of the problem before under warranty... It still cost 180 dollars in fuel cost since my dealer is 600 miles away round trip. Now with the heavier trailer and diesel being so much more expensive... It will cost more this go round if it happens for a problem that has had years to be redesigned.

Steve;
I agree I am happy that the problem is being taken care of
but it is not being fixed. It is a design flaw.
A heavy duty hinge is what's needed.
Like on the entrance door.
I am trying to come up with a solution. At some point
they will not cover this repair.

I may look at adding some kind of a "helper" hinge on each side of the interior. Just a thought. If you come up with anything keep us posted.

I have a 2011 freedom express with camp kitchen. My hinge also cracked but i took it in and it was covered under the 1 year warranty. Well it's cracking again on the other end now. So from what I'm gathering is the whole door needs to be replaced, not just the hinge? It would be so much easier to just replace the hinge. I was also thinking of somehow replacing it with a stainless steel piano hinge.
I guess I'll call FR and see if they will help me out.
