Propane quick connect

Just purchased Coleman road trip grill. Have a '16 201RBS, what size is the LP connection at the rear of camper? Or does anyone know which Camco hose/adapter kit to purchase? I know Torjik part number but they are currently out of stock. Help please. Thanks

Many of those grills are not compatible with the Low Pressure connection on the trailer. Most of those grills are designed for High Pressure tanks...1lb, 5lb...etc bottles. Best is a web search as to what...if any connectors are available.

John, are you attempting to connect the Roadtrip to a built-in propane quick connect connection?

If so, this won't work as is. The RV's qc (quick connect) is made for a grill without a built in regulator (sidekick grill, RVq, etc).....since your RV's gas line is already been regulated by the time it gets to the qc.

The roadtrip has it's own built in regulator, so in essence you are double regulating the propane when attempting to use it with the qc. You will get a very low flame because of this.

We have many threads on this, and what you must do to adapt this. You either must remove the roadtrips regulator (if possible) or absent that run a line/T off of your propane tanks BEFORE they are regulated.

I am aware of what you are saying. I know I have to remove the regulator on the road trip. The connector for the road trip with the hose with a quick attach on the other end to fit the RV . As I said, Torjik makes such an adapter kit but it is currently on backorder. My question is, does Camco or another company manufacturer and sell a kit like the Torjik.

While I am also aware of connecting to the tanks, it just seems pointless to have the accessibility of the propane hook up at the rear of you cannot simply attach. This is the beauty of the Torjik kit.

OK folks. So the Torjik adapter kit came in.
Now you can hook up your Coleman road trip grill to the propane quick connect port at the rear of your surveyor. Follow the video instructions. No having to attach to your propane tanks. Easy peasy, just what I wanted!
