Reclining Love Seat

Considering purchasing a reclining love seat to replace the dinette in a Surveyor Cadet 226RBDS. Any advice is appreciated.

We also have a 226rbds. I would also like to do what you're doing. How do you like your trailer so far? We love ours.

Yes we really like it. Plenty of storage and space in the "living area."
Only complaint is the dinette. Just not comfortable for long periods of time.
Thinking of the reclining love seat and TV trays.

Please post some pictures if you make the change. I'll be interested to see what you did. I agree the dinette area is not comfortable.

We have a 2010 Surveyor 302RL that we bought used last year, and has a power reclining love seat made by Ashley Furniture . On our last trip the right hand side would move only about 2 ins. And then click. I took the power assembly off, opened up the gear box and found the nylon drive gear stripped. I called Ashley Furniture customer service to order a replacement, as I knew that is was probably not covered under warranty. After giving the rep all the model, serial, #s she put me on hold for no more than 2 mins. she came back and asked for my shipping address, I asked how much the replacement would cost? She said I'm sorry, there is no charge, we no longer use that company's hardware so we will send you the replacements for both sides, including wiring and switches. I received the two new motor assemblies, and all wiring in two days! Replaced the defective one, kept the other for a spare. Long story short, Might consider Ashley Furniture, as their customer service was great, at least in my case! And we love or leather love seat!

Did you have a problem getting the love seat through the door?
Do the backs come off?
Thanks

It was already in the TT when we purchased it. The backs were not removable.

We've dealt with them on an issue ourselves and have found CS to be top notch. Kuddos to Ashley Furniture!!
