I think it is better if you only use the AC power alone. Because if you also use the DC power, it has the possibility to destroy your refrigerator.
The control circuit boards on the refrigerator are all dc. Gosh I sure hope this is not going to destroy my refrigerator. I don't think I will stop using the control boards on the chance that the people who designed these units knew what they are doing.
