Shopping for a 19

We are comparing a Rockwood 19 HTT the Surveyor 19. Are there any real differences?

Take a good look at the construction and features of each. I did this a few years ago and bought the Surveyor because of the extra insulation and the way the aluminnum frame work was put togather. Go to the web sites for each propduct and compare the two you are looking at to see which one will work for you.
Have fun,
Dick

I don't know anything about the Rockwoods, but I have a 2010 Surveyor 186, which I have seen listed lengthwise in different ways, sometimes 19-plus feet, sometimes 20. If this is the one your're looking at, I will be glad to answer any specific questions you have....if I know the answers. In the 10 months we have had it (it's our second camper), we have been very pleased with the quality. There were a few cosmetic issues that the dealer fixed for us prior to purchase, and we now have a sometimes leaky commode valve, which is a Thetford issue that will be fixed under warranty next week. The other appliances are Magic Chef, Dometic and Suburban, and all have worked very well. As for build quality, nothing has fallen off or come loose and nothing has leaked, other than the commode valve.

Thanks
I have reviewed both websites. Even though both are made by Forest River, there are structural differences. I think that the slightly higher cost on the Surveyor reflects that. The Rockwood has some extra features included, and the Rockwood dealer is one and a half hours closer to me. All things that have to be factured in.
