Spare tire ?

This may have been asked and answered but have not found. We purchased at 2016 201RBS from private seller. Rig has the bike rack but no spare tire mount at rear. Is the spare tire standard? If so; where is it located? Undercarriage appears covered. Help please.

A spare tire is standard on some units and an option on others. If you can't see it, your unit probably doesn't have one. It won't be hidden up under the bottom's cover.

Mr. Dan is correct. I've seen Surveyors go both ways with the spare tire; either mounted on the rear bumper or mounted underneath (Usually ahead of the axles). Because of the enclosed underbelly, the spare hangs pretty low and is very apparent if it's there.

You might consider something underneath since you already have a bike rack on the back.

Yes I have seen this on you tube. Just wasn’t sure the amount of room underneath due to enclosure of underbelly would be enough. I have yet to use bike rack so may find some type of mount to attach to rack or redneck engineer some type of mount.

Well, I suppose I have looked better before posting. I went back out to look again under the rug and there she is, under the front part of the trailer. A spare tire mounted on a contraption shown in the video above. Thanks for all your help.

The old cliche :"Good thing it wasn't a snake" comes to mind. Just for a chuckle of course because we have all done the same thing.
Maybe take a quick look at the mounting to see whats required to dismount the spare. Less time on the ground the better.
Nothing like 18 wheelers whizzing by at 70 mph about 4 feet away to get your attention while you are changing a tire.
Good luck, RMc

I guess we should have asked "Have you looked for your spare?" before we answered. We assume you mean RIG. Hopefully, you spare isn't installed under a rug.
