Surveyor 265 vs 266

Interested in purchasing either a Surveyor 265 or 266. I'm just wondering what the differences are. Same length just a few pounds difference in weight. Any help would be appreciated.

The GVWR is within 12 lbs of each other.

Unless they have different color/furniture schemes, I can't see a real difference.

I'd say go for which ever you can get the better price and local service on.

Per Forest River the 266 has a residential fridge. What are the pluses/minuses of a residential fridge?

The plus of a residential fridge is that they have better cooling than the absorption units.

The minus is that you have to have an inverter and a set of good batteries to run them when you're not plugged in to shore power.

Of course there are others, but those are the biggies to me.

As indicated above, the fridge is different but I believe the 266 also comes with a TV as standard equipment - but I'm not 100% sure.

Surveyor 265 vs 266

Yeah, 265 has 3 way fridge. 266 has residential. That's the only difference. We got the 266.

You will have less problems with Residential Fridge. Had 3-way in last RV and never used it in 7 years.

The 265 has a 2 way fridge, not a 3 way fridge.
Look in the Features section on the Surveyor website.
It list either a Gas/Electric fridge or a residential fridge.

3 way fridges are almost only found in foldable campers or truck campers.

Ok, I misspoke. 266 has a residential that can run off the inverter if you need. 265 can run off LP or elec. Sorry about any confusion. My first "big" RV.
