Surveyor 294QBLE TV mount

I'm looking to mount a 32 in TV, weight is 25 LBS, in the living area. A buddy suggested not to mount it to the brace inside the wall but sit it on the shelf. We aren't comfortable with that because it's not very stable. Is it safe to use the factory braces to mount it? We are long term in the RV but it will be removed when it's time to travel.

I have a 260 Surveyor Sport so I cant say for sure for yours as ours is different. With that said I don't think it would be a problem as long as you do remove it while traveling. I have hinted to the wife about replacing our TV, so far she isn't the least bit interested in that idea.

Mine didn't come with a TV, which I'm kind of peeved about but oh well. Since we are long terming while I'm waiting to retire, the kids get bored without their shows.

Wow, no TV? That seems strange to me, but I consider myself a camping newbie also. We are starting our second year with our SP260.

tv mounting in surveyor 294qbl

Just installed a 32 inch in the living area on my 2015 I felt the mounting support was not good enough so I installed an extra board from top to bottom on the top of the shelf then attached to this board the tv mounting. seems quite secure but removed the tv when traveling. On the unit the antenna is the new digital type that does not have a crank for direction does anyone know if you can improve reception with this antenna type with the booster on. My old antenna turned in the right direction had good reception parked in the same spot.
