Surveyor 295 for Christmas

Yay, I finally took the big step and made the offer on the 295. Pick it up on Wednesday. Nice Christmas present for me.

I originally was planning on going to the U.S. to get it, but after shopping around Alberta and Sask, I found that it was only less than $1000 difference than if I bought from Ohio. By the time I had them deliver to Edmonton it would have added another $3000 to the price of $19,000.
When I called around Alberta I had prices from $21,700 - $26,000 (the local shop being the most expensive).

The local shop said that they would match any Canadian price as they were slow and trying to stay competitive.

Anyway just want to tell people in Canada to call around and dont take the 1st price that a shop gives you, as they always have room to move.

Anyway looking foward to the upcoming camping season...how many more sleeps? Well after the 10" of snow, too many sleeps.

Congratulations!!!

That is one of our favorite floorplans. $20K CAD sounds like a nice price and you get the support of a local dealer. Smart.

What are you towing with?

Picked it up yesterday, roads were a little slick but got it to the farm where it will hide in the snow for a couple more months.

Here are some pictures.

Oh man. Just like buying your wife jewelry for Xmas, you've broken the dam, and it will have to be topped next year! Have fun, happy camping. Look on the bright side, you have a nice shop there and 2 solid months to dial her in, prep her out, and mod her up until the snow melts and the camping flies.

Thanks for all the comments on the new trailer, I didnt pull it with the Silverado as it is just a 2 wheel driveand had to do a couple hills before I got to the farm to park it. However I did borrow the father in laws 2004 Duramax and it handled like a dream...

The hitch that I got was the Reese, 800lb and I decided to get the RV Pro sway bar since it was only an additional $135.00.

The shop that you see there was the dealer that I got it from, when we did the run through. It is now stored out in the middle of a snow filled yard. It will probably be a good 4 months before we can touch it. We are in Canada after all...

Congrats!!! good to see you got a good deal. Sure sucks looking out and seeing the trailer just sitting in the snow waiting for nice weather doesn't it.
