Surveyor doors not working

I have a 2012 26SC Surveyor that has two doors. I noticed on the door that enters the kitchen someone has taken one of the three lower hinges off and that door works fine. The front door that enters the bedroom would not open more than two inches so I took the same hinge off and it now works. The screen door binds up at the same location and will not open. Anyone know of the correct fix for this? I would have to take the entire door off to get to the hinge on the screen. Just does not seem right t have to do this to get a door to work

Sounds like the wall has warped causing the doors to bind when opening. Hopefully that's not the case.

Have you looked closely at exactly what's causing them to bind?

Took it camping last weekend and could not tell if the walls were the problem. I made sure it was level and the front screen door (bedroom) had the same issue. It will not open more than 3 inches.

I'd take a real close look at the wall to make sure it isn't bowed, Take a look at the floor too, to make sure it hasn't settled.

This does sound like a structural issue with the floor or more likely the walls, take a 5ft level or straight edge and put it vertically on the wall next to the door on the inside and outside and see if it touches the camper the full length of the edge.

I'll try the level and see if it works. I store the unit off site so it may take a while to get to it. Thanks for the info.

I have a 2012 Surveyor SV-302 and had a similar issue. I found that the door hinges were rusted and I ordered new ones from Forest River. I drilled out the rivets and installed the new also with rivets. The problem was solved. This is lipperts website.
