Question Surveyor Sport Roof Material

Trying to figure out what the roof material is on our 2013 Surveyor Sport SP-296 (EPDM or TPO)

I saw a video on removing the interior trim on the vents and look at the backing on the roofing material that is pulled in and folded over. I did that with two vents and there is no material to be seen and roof structure was totally different than in the video.

Any one have any idea if it's EPDM or TPO?

I thought all Surveyors were built with EPDM (rubber) roofing... I could be wrong.

From what I have been reading on various sites about the Surveyor Sport and by the texture of the roof it looks like it's TPO or Alpha-Ply.

Still waiting to hear back from the dealer we purchased the TT from.

The Surveyor website characterizes it as "One Piece Roof Membrane with 12 Year Warranty." Not very specific.

Ya that's what the build sheet says that came with our TT.

I found on-line a Forest River MSRP sheet for the Surveyor Sport that list standard options and options that can be purchased. It says "One piece Alphaply roof - 12 yr warranty" as one of the standard options.

Mine has a very subtle wavy pattern on it, and someone said that indicates it is NOT the EPDM. I'm not sure but would really like to know, if anyone can find out.

That's what I have read that as well.

I was told that a TPO or Aplha-Ply roof has a texture like an orange peel which my roof does and an EPDM roof is smooth.

Send a message via MSN to Tiggerdad
Read recently that the TPO no longer has the felt like backing. The felt like backing would wick and spread water seepage.
