Everyone should check their frame above the u-bolts on both sides of their trailer. The u-bolts on mine are making contact with the frame on both sides causing dents to the frame as well as crushing my LP lines. I contacted FR and my dealer and It's been three weeks and neither has returned my calls. They should be recalling these units and providing a suspension fix!! I agree with DDC this may come down to a lawsuit unless FR gets off their butts and deals with it soon.

Exclamation SP-240 follow up

Reporting back...just returned from visiting my dealer for the second time in regard to this issue. As I had stated earlier, the propane line was initially routed away from the rail and axle U-bolt, as per FR directions. However, the line then became crushed by the axle itself when it came under compression and pinned the gas line right to the TT's underbelly. After examining the situation, my dealer's tech (@ Lazy Days, Tampa) and I decided that the only way to effectively deal with the problem would be to re-route the line over the axle and then into and through the underbelly and then out again on the other side. This is what we did, (after sending pics to FR rep. Susan Thornberg and receiving the official "OK"). Gave it a visual inspection after returning home, and everything looks good. Hope this fix will truly remain a fix! Good luck to all of you out there who continue to be frustrated by this issue. Ms. Thornberg told me that some 600+ trailers might be affected by the original LP line safety recall

Would you mind posting some pictures of what your dealer did?

You might want to check your fix with a gas inspector, because in Canada it is against code to enclose an LP line. I can't image it's any different in the US. Forest River should know that!

Hi LAMI, any update on what you've done to rectify the lp line issue. I just got my unit back from Arrkann in Edmonton--Arrkann replaced and moved the line inches away from the u-bolts. I kind of concern now hearing that the line could be crushed by the suspension itself.

Lp line recall

Forest river and my dealer were really no help so I called a local gas fitter who Moved the line up onto the outside edge of the I beam. Now there is no way anything can contact the LP line. Paid with my own dime. Tired of dealing with FR.

Disappointing that the FR Rep Susan Thornberg would not return any of my calls.
