Hi - we've been making a similar comparison. Although the Rockwook is less expensive than the Surveyor, it appears there are some reasons for this even though, as you stated, the floor plans are identical. The 2605 has a vinyl roof instead of rubber, 90" width instead of 96", 27'1" length instead of 28'6", smaller water and waste tanks, smaller propane bottles, etc. We were told the underside of the 2605 is not streamlined like the Surveyor, but haven't been able to confirm this. From what we can see, the added 6" width and foot and a half length make a big difference in interior space. Based on the above, as well as the fact we also have a local Surveyor dealer and would have to go out of town for a Rockwood, we expect to purchase an SV 264 over the winter. Appears worth the additional money.
