Surveyors Quality vs others

We bought our 2007 SV291 in August of '07 and try to take it out at least one weekend a month, year 'round. it has been a great camper and no major issues.
In 2010 we had a 40 foot long tree limb fall and put some holes in the roof, and crack the wall over the slide out, but a good service department made it almost as good as new. Many can't believe it was ever damaged. We plan to keep it for a many more years.

I am in the same position you were in March. Trying to decide between a Surveyor 305 and Lacrosse 318 BHS. Why did you decide on the Lacrosse over the Surveyor? Thanks for you input.

we bought the 305 today after looking at a couple of other brands, i was impressed with fit and finish, bunkhouse, and the large sofa /entertainment area. outside kitchen and outside shower a plus. power jacks, power awning and day/nite blinds sealed the deal. wife did not like the shower but we all must compromise. after unloading a 27 ft boat in march i am looking forward to a unit where everythingworks and reliability is not an issue . never ever buy a boat never !
