we just returned from one week in our trailer. had no problems
when we returned home i noticed water in the floor near the kitchen.
we traveled through some heavy rain. I investigated and found a black pipe coming through the floor and has 1" gap all around pipe.. i can see daylight around it. do u think this iswhere water coming in. can i put foam insulation in this gap.. not sure where else water coming in.. thanks for help

Isn't the bottom of your 291 enclosed ?

Check the white seal ends which are at the edge of the slide. they curl into themselves at the bottom of the trailer and see if there is water in there ...

So, did you read the two threads I linked to above ? Thoese are pretty good threds which describe where the water gets ion from. If you have an opening at the bottom of teh trailer, while driving in heavy rain, water COULD get in through there too ...

thanks guys and yes i did check all that.. no tears in seals for slide out.. thank goodness that would be a project to fix. i believe it was from the hole in the floor or maybe slide out not slid in all the way.. filled hole tonight with spray insulation. and checked everywhere else where it might have come from will have to see if this helped.

There will not be tear in the slide seals .... Check the bottom of them, poke them to see if they are holding water ...... I hope ti came form that hole.

It IS possible to enclose the belly, it helps in cold climate to retain SOME ehat udner the belly but the furnace actively or passively (depends on the trailer) heats that area. It is nice to have warmish floors when you are camping in 10F degrees !
