SV 305 Mods

Has anyone else done mods worth sharing? Let's see if my picture shows up... I didn't like the idea of storing my greasy hitch and bars in the pass through storage compartment so i mounted a small job site box behind the propane tanks to house the batter as well as somewhere to place the hitch assembly.

Anyone else do anything fun with theirs?

Also... way off topic... (A.D.D. probably... ) What do you all tow your 305

Looks good - how did you attach the box to the frame?

That's an Equal-i-zer system right? Looks like the same L brackets as mine. I usually use my bars to weigh down our awning mat in case of strong wind gusts, along the trailer so they aren't tripping hazards. The hitch head goes on the ground under the tongue, or in the garage at home. Also I have 2 batteries, so there's not a lot of extra space there.

It is a equalizer hitch, but its the "fastway E2 round bar" setup. I love the hitch and assembly. I have had friends who have had the head stolen off the truck, have had friends who used them as weights for mats like you and they were stolen! With that being said I don't leave them out to be taken! Figure I can get home if someone runs off with a chair, cooler or a grill but I'm kind of stuck without my hitch!

To attach the box to the frame I used self tappers in the front corners but I had to fab up a piece of angle iron to support the back edge of the box, which I used self tappers to secure then used couple more self tappers to attach the box to the angle iron!

Honestly, I don't recall what brand of box it was. It was a thick heavy box I found at Home Depot. They had several but this was about the only I felt would fit between the tanks and the camper. I actually had to move the Tanks an inch or two forward. The beauty cover actually contacts the power jack head but I don't believe there will be any harm there.

When we had the 08Flagstaff 831RLSS, I made brackets and stored and locked the torsion bars to the trailer frame.
