I used the MAF40 from the link above. I think the tv is a 17 or 19, but it at the dealer now, so I can't double check.

Went and bought a TV today and ordered the mount. Wife says "Let's go see how it looks". Went out, hooked everything up...no reception. Hooked up to main TV jack..works fine. Took off plate for cable and no cable! Fished around inside wall and found cable. Hooked up to plate and it works. At least it was simple. Just need mount to hang it now. Thanks for the info on the mount.

Amazon has the MAF10 mounts and there only about $28.00 a lot cheaper than getting them from a dealer, he wanted $50.00.

X2 That's where I ordered mine. Free shipping too. I don't understand why the dealer thinks they have to add $22. for something like that???

Would it be possible for someone who has done the TV mount to post a picture of where on the wall you placed it. I just picked up my new SVT-264 on Saturday and the dealer wants $85.00 just to put the mount on the wall. I'm pretty sure I can do it myself if I knew where on the wall it was reinforced to hold the weight of a tv. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

If the wall isn't marked, get a stud finder and locate the mount.

What kind of mount are you going to use? If there is not a picture up by tomorrow, I will get one for you. There should be an area right by the paneling seam that is about 12X12 that is much firmer than the rest of the wall. Feel the wall, you can't miss it. Regardless. I will take a picture for you... Welcome to the forum by the way!

Here is a picture of my mount. The blue tape represents the solid section behind the panel that a mount can be attached to.

Bob, that's perfect!! That's exactly what I needed to know. Thank you so much. You rock!!! Hopefully someday I can contribute instead of just taking all the info on this site in. Taking the TT out tomorrow for our maiden voyage. All of 10 miles.
