SV264 Bedroom TV Mount

There is no sticker on the wall indicating where the backing for the bedroom is. I assume it is over the power and cable outlet, but since there is a pocket door, I don't want do anything to interfere. I called the dealer about a week ago, and was told they'd check with FR. Nothing yet! I'm a little worried that after sales service may be lacking!

Thanks - Rick

I asked my dealer the same question. The wall where the pocket door travels is unsupported. Mine has a trim strip that divides the unsupported wall and the reinforced wall area, where the TV outlets are. My dealer said there's wood in that part for TV support. I just wish they had added the mount at the factory. I'll be ordering one like the one outside under the awning, and adding it to the bedroom wall. I can get one for $29.99...

IF theres no sticker saying where to put a tv mount it "normally" means theres no provisions to and you should not .
But I am no expert in this area since both mine had provisions . good luck !

Can you check it with a stud finder?

I have plans to eventually add one to my bedroom, but haven't gotten around to checking for the support yet. I did the knock test, and so far its been inconclusive...

My 2012 SV 264 came with a mount already in the bedroom, only thing is you only get the wall mount and not the piece that goes on the tv.

We got a parts and accessories catalog with ours. This is an ASA Electronics part number 22-1037, on page 388. It's a plain mount and doesn't swivel or pivot. I didn't think there's be room for all of that, so I will be getting the simple one. There are others on the page.

DDC... if possible, please pst a picture of the position of the mount on the wall. Ours came with a mount outside, under the awning.

Schrederman I have not figured out how to post pics here yet, if your 264 has the pull down tv look behind it and you will see the mount you can take the tv outside and it will slide onto the exterior mount.

Our 12 Flagstaff 8528RKWS has a pocket door for the bath and the wall it slides in must have a backer board as there was a label saying to mount tv on this wall, which the dealer did. I think I would try to remove the door and look inside. With a little ingenuity, you could probably add a backer board and hang a tv on the wall like you want.

If you press above the co ax connection on the wall you will find a section of the wall about 10 X 10 that is solid. The rest of the wall feels soft. That is where the mount is intended to be placed.

Tv mount

Our dealer mounted in right on the trim strip, which is where he said the best support was.

I got mine yesterday. It fit my TV perfectly. It's identical to the others in the trailer so I can move my TVs around if I want. I'll be screwing the mount to the bedroom wall this evening. I'll post a pic or two if I get it done...

If you are having trouble finding a mount of the same type as the other ones in the camper, they are available from Jensen Direct. JENSEN LCD TV Mounts - The Best RV TV mount

You can even buy just the wall mount like
outside. You can find the exact same mount with the RCA brand on it by googling the model #.

How long of screws can you use when mounting the bracket? With my luck they'll be sticking out of my shower wall!

I was lucky. The shower walls are only attached on the edges, so there's enough give that the screws didn't go through. I ended up moving it a little closer (actually tried to hit it) to the off set made by pocket door. I would try to shorten the screws that come with it a little, expecially if you are installing a smaller tv. No matter what you do, there's really not enough room between the bed and the wall, so the the tv makes the pathway crowded. I can see myself whacking my head on it in the middle of the night.
