Tow Vehicle Tire Pressure
Anyone have a method to figuring what my tire pressure should be on my tow vehicle? 1997 Ram 2500 Camper Special Cummins. Tires are BFG LT 285/75 R16.

I would either use the tire placard on the "B" pillar for the door or on the drives side door. If this placard is missing than use the max tire cold inflation pressure on the tire sidewall. This is the tire load that these tires can support at max air pressure cold. You should also weight the truck as set up for camping to insure that you are in the proper weight load for these tires.

5 psi under max for towing.
Less when empty.

As others have stated the best place to start is the driver door or pillar sticker. This is the best tire pressure for general use of the truck and will give the best ride with the truck unloaded. The maximum tire pressure on the tire would be best when towing a heavy load. Or you can compromise and weigh the truck when loaded in towing configuration from this you can figure out the actual weigh the truck is caring. Then go online or to the mfr of you truck tires and secure a inflation chart for your tire size. Then you can determine the air pressure to carry the load. When I did this for my configuration the max air pressure on the tire was 80 PSI, when I weighed the truck loaded in camping configuration the rears only required 65 PSI. I have a diesel truck so the front required 75 PSI and the rear (dual's) 65 PSI minimum (I run them at 70 PSI to be on the safe side).

Cant use door panel as gospel. That is factory installed tires. Could have different rated tires since this is 1997 Dodge. Go off pressure on tire sidewall.

Correct... door sticker is only for factory installed tires. If the tires have been changed to something else you may as well peel that sticker off as it won't be correct.
Look on the side wall of the tire. It will tell you what max p.s.i. is for the tire.
Go to the tire manufacturer's web site. They typically list inflation pressures per tire for a given load. (IE: 55 p.s.i. for 2450 lbs, 65 p.s.i for 2950 lbs. etc)

Tire pressure on my TT I have ST205/75D14C. Sticker says 50lbs PSI. Should I put 50psi in? Or keep it lower? It's brand new but I'm taking it out this weekend

Most trailers are manufactured at or near (and sometimes over) the weight carrying capacity of the tires.
Always inflate to the maximum pressure stated on the sidewall.
