I don't have the SV 294 and although my tt is heavier, 6349 dry weight, it is similar in length, 33' 11".
I tow with an F-250, CC, LB, 172" wheel base.
According to the weight of the SV 294 you should be able to tow using a ½ ton without any problems, but you will need a wheelbase close to what I have to better control sway issues.

You would need a 1/2 ton minimum with at least a 145" wheelbase.

If it helps, I was towing a TrailCruiser which was 35'6" long with an F-150 Crew cab short bed. Once the Equalizer was adjusted properly, Sway was not an issue at all. It followed the truck like a dream. Mind you it was a light trailer for its size (4,300 Lbs dry weight).

I find towing my SV-291 Which is just over 32' and a little bit heavier (4,870 weighed at factory with all options) a little bit more demanding as the Equalizer still needs to be tuned up just a tad.

I would have preferred to have more of a truck (engine wheelbase) but what I have works and does the job.

We have a 2010 SV-294 and I tpw it with a Chrysler Aspen w/ a hemi. I do not have any problems towing other than I only get about 9 MPG. I do however have a Hensley Arrow which I personally could not imagine towing it without that hitch system. However when the lease is up on the Aspen we will be switching to either a Suburban or and Escalade ESV.

I tow my 294 with a 2008 Silverado extended cab with the 6.0 vortex max motor and an equalizer hitch. Tows great. We have towed ours on trips of more than 7 hours and had no problems.

nowait, is that the Denali version of the Silverado? We have been considering getting one of those. What kind of fuel economy do you get towing and without the trailer if you do not mind me asking?

I do not have the denali I get about 20-22 at 60 on the flat interstate. I have also gotten 21 mpg at 71 mpg with no head wind. The v4 cylinder shutdown makes a Huge difference. With the 294 trailer, at 60-65 on the flats I get 9-13 in tow mode depending on wind and hills. We tow with the water tank full.
