Water Filter Location (New owner)

This may seem like a dumb question but my Owners manual says to change the water filter after de-winterizing or once every 12 months. The manual says nothing about where it is located on my 2014 Surveyor Cadet sc226. Any other owners with more knowledge on this unit. This is my first TT and I'm sure I will have more questions as I get more involved with this unit.

Thanks I appreciate the help on this

It should be near where the water hookup is outside. Open cabinet doors and look for panels that can be removed with a couple screws

It will most certainly be by the water pump.
If you find the water pump lol.
Just remember your unit may or may not have one.

Hello We you were right on! I found the water pump inside of the storae compartment and there is not a waterfilter installed on my TT. I would like to add one I did a search in the modification section but I couldnt find any threads. Has anyone seen one or done the upgrade?

I did mine like youroo. Easy access. Can remove filter between trips (less chance of mold growth). Much easier than the one that was mounted inside by the water pump. I just bypassed that one.

I use this, lots of options if you google RV water filter, Walmart has a similar setup as well as camping world.

just remember that the generic owner's manual really has NOTHING to do with your actual model.

none of them state where the water filter is, nor the water heater, nor the water pump, nor the converter, nor the inverter, nor the battery disconnect switch and on and on and on.

it makes generic statements that may or may not apply to your RV.
taking it for an official statement, that the filter needs to be changed every 12 months or after de-winterizing, is really up to you.

there's virtually nothing in the FR owner's manual that my HTT came with, that i would believe or follow.
