Water pump location

Water pump on our 2014 SP 189 was very loud and prone to losing its prime. Found that FR had installed the pump under the kitchen sink on a shelf made if 1/8" thick veneer. The vibration was terrible. Extended the wires and water lines and moved the pump to the decking under the sink. Also mounted the pump on a piece of rubber. It is now very quiet and seems to be holding it prime. Forest River seems to just slap these things together as fast as they can let the consumer either fix their shortcuts or fight it out with the warranty department.

The pump on our SP 296 is fairly loud as well. May have to try putting rubber mounts under it and see if that helps.

My SV-264 had it mounted to the floor and it's quiet... There was a water filter in there, too, but I moved that outside and have a bracket that it hangs on.

It would be like mounting it on a guitar as that thin wood would resonate the noise everywhere. And yes, I think every RV builder slaps stuff into any space they can find. I'm betting they have fun wrapping wires around hoses. I look into voids and it amazes me how yet did that without really working at it.
