What are interior Surveyor walls made of?

What material is under the wall covering material? OSB? Is it the same for interior walls as exterior? I wish there was some detailed documentation from Forrest River about how our trailers are made. Thanks!!

Here's what I think but others may know different.

Exterior: Fiberglass
Frame: Aluminum
Interior: Hard board
Wall Interior: White Foam Insulation

Thanks, I'd be curious on the thickness of the hardboard & insulation.

You might try taking a peek where the water heater access or fridge access panels are. You should be able to view a cross section of the wall. Same is true of the ceiling...take off a vent or skylight plenum.

Almost.
Interior walls are 1/4" lauan wood paneling with deco vinyl covering. I cut holes in them enough to know

My interior walls are 1/8" luan (cheap) plywood. 1/4" luan would be heavier, but unfortunately not a lot stronger. I wish the RV industry would come up with some other lightweight material because luan is highly susceptible to water damage. There's a layer of it under the fiberglass exterior on most trailers. That's where delamination comes from in most cases. If the luan gets wet, it separates.

Some Surveyor models are 1 1/2" of foam. Our 5er has 2".

Thanks everyone!!! Much easier to start doing some mods now that I know what I'm working with. I really wish the RV manufacturers gave us some specific detail on things like this & commonly replaced part numbers (instead of a generic Forest River manual that generally covers their entire line-up)
