What Surveyor to Buy?

Looking at buying my first travel trailer but don't want to overload my TV. I have not had any success finding the towing guide for my truck - 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, 4.7 V8, 2WD, 3.55 axle ratio. Does anyone have any idea where to find the towing guide? - and any experiences with towing comfortably with this vehicle. We have looked at the Surveyor SP-220 (dry ship weight 3913 lb) and the Surveyor SV-264 (dry ship weight 4308 lb) - not sure if either would be ok?

The 264 would be too much for your truck IMO. A brief google search turned up a max tow capacity of 6,200; but it may vary with engine and rear axle ratio. That dry weight is misleading. Option packages will add a good 500 pounds. Then add liquids; e.g. fresh water and maybe some grey and black from time to time; 8lb/gallon approximately. Then add your food, gear, kitchen supplies, etc. and you will be well into 5,000+ territory.
