Congrats! I'd recommend you do try a backyard camping trip. It will give you an idea of things you may not have thought about packing. I've tried to talk my wife into camping in the backyard with no luck. I guess I need to plan more trips out of the backyard.

We also went back yard camping the first night out. Like LFugate said, it will give you a good idea what you forgot about and what you really need. It's good to do a dry run in your back yard. Have fun with it!

Is this the 12th Anniversary Edition. Ours is still sitting at the dealership, can't wait to bring it home in April.

sounds like a good idea to me also
hook up everyTHING and use it for at least a few days
that way when you get to your destination
any and all kinks should already be worked out
much better at home than on the road

just repaired a couple of leaks on our trailer
after repairs
left water hooked up and on for a couple of days
I feel good about leaving now
